The Tigers have the roster, the coach and the quarterback to contend for the College Football Playoff. In fact, I view LSU as the SEC’s best playoff candidate not named Georgia. Getting there likely would require beating Alabama. Plus, a second straight win against Alabama would loudly proclaim that the SEC is now a joust between Georgia and LSU, and Alabama is third-fiddle.
