In football recruiting news, athlete Ju’Juan Johnson of Lafayette Christian Academy committed to Colorado yesterday. As expected, Johnson chose “Coach Prime” and his Buffaloes over LSU and Florida. At 5-11, 175 pounds, Johnson is rated as a 4-star athlete and is No. 2 on our list of Top Louisiana Prospects. Seeing an elite homegrown player leave the state always stings, but losing one cornerback — the position Johnson is projected to play at the next level — will not make or break LSU’s 2024 recruiting class. Besides, there’s a lot of time before he puts ink to paper.
