Brian Kelly and running backs coach Frank Wilson were here in Lafayette yesterday and made stops at Acadiana High and Lafayette Christian Academy. At Acadiana, they were there to see defensive tackle Dominic McKinley, the kid who Miami coach Mario Cristobal and Alabama coach Nick Saban visited earlier this week. I’m told that they extended an offer to the 6-foot-7, 270-pounder. At LCA, LSU checked in on quarterback Ju’Juan Johnson (who projects as a cornerback at the collegiate level) and defensive tackle Melvin Hills. Both already held offers from LSU.
