In LSU’s TaxAct Texas Bowl loss to Kansas State, wide receiver Jontre Kirklin played quarterback due to personnel issues with opt outs and COVID-19. LSU lost the game, 42-20, but Kirklin played relatively well, especially considering the circumstances. He completed seven of his 11 passing attempts for 138 yards, three touchdowns, and a pair of interceptions. He also ran the ball for 61 yards.
