What we learned from LSU’s first full spring scrimmage on Saturday

lsu football report tigersHere’s a sentence that shouldn’t surprise you: LSU’s defense beat its offense on Saturday in the Tigers’ first full spring scrimmage. As coach Ed Orgeron put it, the defense was “on fire” most of the afternoon.

LSU’s defense is better than its offense. This isn’t a revelation. Things have been this way for the better part of two decades.
