Why Bo Pelini returned to LSU as defensive coordinator

Ed Orgeron hired Bo Pelini to replace Dave Aranda, who left LSU after four seasons as defensive coordinator for the head coaching job at Baylor, this spring and Pelini left a head coaching job to do just that after five years at Youngstown State. Orgeron and Pelini have ties with Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, who recommended Pelini to Orgeron. The chance to return to Baton Rouge where he won a National Championship already was one of the few opportunities he’d consider, he told 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge Wednesday morning.
