Texas A&M was 5-1 going into its game with LSU midway through its surprising 2012 campaign which was its first in the Southeastern Conference. Quarterback Johnny Manziel was morphing into the most exciting player in college football and he was also seemingly the superstar that Aggies’ fans had dreamed of at the position for years.
