In football news, freshman Tiger linebacker Donté Starks has been suspended indefinitely.

Coach Ed Orgeron announced the news with a brief statement that simply said Starks violated team rules. You might recall that Starks’ freshman season at LSU was delayed as he didn’t become academically eligible to play until after the season had already begun.

It’s unclear whether this latest suspension has to do with academics. “I accept the mistakes that I have made in my life now it’s time to grow up and get right,” Starks tweeted yesterday shortly after noon.
