Remember LSU QB Trey Prather on Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Trey Prather made a name for himself on the football field as a quarterback, which led him to LSU.

But after a few seasons in Baton Rouge, Prather decided to drop out and enlist in the Marines. Soon after, he was deployed to Vietnam. Two months later, he was injured by a landmine.

A few days later, in January 1968, Prather fell victim to his injuries. He died one week prior to his 21st birthday.
