Marine killed in California crash was a former LSU student and Baton Rouge Native

 

This isn’t LSU football news.  However, we here at LSU Football Report love and respect our military and wanted to highlight that one of the Marines killed in California was a Baton Rouge native and former LSU student.  To quote the late General George S. Patton Jr, “”It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” 

The youngest Marine killed was 24-year-old Lance Cpl. Taylor Conrad of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, another helicopter crew chief who became a father in October and was remembered by friends and family as just as caring as he was tough. 

Pam Scoggin, Conrad’s great-aunt, said the young man had been going to school at Louisiana State University when he decided to join the Marines.
