Freshman defensive lineman Davin Cotton partcipates in first LSU practice

lsu football report tigersFreshman defensive lineman Davin Cotton took an important first step towards getting back on the field, participating in an LSU practice for the first time in his college career as the Tigers resumed spring practice on Tuesday.

Cotton, a 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive end, has not played since tearing an ACL in the first game of his senior season at Evangel Christian in Shreveport.

He is not yet participating in contact drills, but coach Ed Orgeron is encouraged to have him working out again.
