Where does LSU rank in ESPN’s college football Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2019?

The Tigers made strides in coach Ed Orgeron’s second full season, winning 10 games and beating UCF 40-32 in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.

But their eighth straight loss to Alabama showed they still have a long way to go in catching the Crimson Tide in the SEC West.

Despite an offseason overhaul, LSU’s offense was still inconsistent, finishing seventh in the SEC in scoring, seventh in passing and ninth in total offense. The Tigers hope Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow’s performance against UCF — 394 passing yards with four touchdowns — is a precursor of things to come.
