LSU’s ‘Heisman’ Joe Burrow tied for national lead in TD passes

The LSU Tigers made the move to a spread offense in the offseason with the hiring of passing game coordinator Joe Brady from the New Orleans Saints and those changes have paid off in a big way through the first two weeks of the season.

No one has benefited from the new system more than quarterback Joe Burrow, who through two weeks finds himself tied for the national lead with nine touchdown passes.

In two games, Burrow has completed 54 of 66 passes (81.8 pct.) for 749 yards with nine touchdowns and one interception.
