Games of the century, flying pigs and Joey Heisman: Five memorable LSU-Alabama games

LSU and Alabama meet again Saturday in yet another important game in this long rivalry that began way back in 1895. The Crimson Tide holds a commanding 55-26-5 lead in the series, including a 29-9-2 mark in Baton Rouge (the Tigers actually have one more win in Tuscaloosa than they do against Bama here). The winner assumes control though is not assured of winning the SEC West with a month remaining until the SEC Championship Game. Considering how much Alabama has dominated this rivalry, winning 10 of the past 11 meetings, it’s worth remembering that LSU has had some of its greatest victories over the Crimson Tide.
