
Former LSU coach Ed Orgeron attempted to revamp his coaching staff ahead of last season by hiring Jake Peetz as offensive coordinator and Daronte Jones as defensive coordinator, but those moves fell flat as the Tigers went 6-7 on the season. With Peetz and Jones out now that coach Brian Kelly has brought in his own staff, both will reportedly head back to the NFL. Peetz will join the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive staff under coach Sean McVay according to Ian Rapoport, whereas the Minnesota Vikings announced that Jones will retake his old post as defensive backs coach.
