The LSU football team brought home the program’s first Bednarik Award in 2010 when cornerback Patrick Peterson took home college football’s highest honor on defense. The following season, LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu took home the hardware.Fast forward nearly 10 seasons, and LSU now has a trio of defenders named to the 2020 Bednarik Award Watch List.
