Yeah, we’re going there. By “there,” I mean back to the 2003 season, which infamously ended with split national champions. LSU and USC sharing a national title was about as un-American as it got, though obviously it was through no fault of their own. The flawed BCS formula used from 1998-2003 created a monster. It’s a monster that 17 years later, is still worth debating.
