With encouragement from many, including his father, LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, Steven Ensminger Jr. accepted a job as quarterbacks coach at Class 4A Assumption High late last month. The route to the Napoleonville school takes the 32-year-old Ensminger past the Donaldsonville chemical plant where he previously worked. His move back to coaching comes six months after the death of his wife, local broadcaster Carley McCord, in a plane crash in Lafayette.
