LSU took a substantial hit with nine early departures to the NFL, but it could have been worse. Ed Orgeron got some good news when Jacoby Stevens returned for his senior season, giving the Tigers a key piece for Bo Pelini’s defense in 2020.

Last season, Stevens finished second on the team in tackles with 92, and his five sacks trailed only K’Lavon Chaisson’s 6.5. A versatile safety who made plays in the backfield and on the back end, Stevens placed third on Dave Aranda’s unit with nine stops for loss and three picks.
