In the immediate moments after LSU wrapped up its first national championship under head coach Ed Orgeron, I stated (on College Football Talk on NBCSports.com) LSU has unquestionably left its mark on the college football map for years to come. And we are now talking about ranking LSU’s national championship team in the entire 150-year history of the sport of college football. There is a lot to weigh in this conversation, but LSU has a lot to bring to the table for discussion in its favor. It is easy to see why I would say that.
