A number can become synonymous with, and therefore just as coveted as the player who wears it. And a number can also become ingrained in a program’s history, just as the No. 7 has taken on its own tradition down on the bayou in Baton Rouge.

Continuing the tradition, Tigers safety Grant Delpit, unanimous All-American, and Jim Thorpe Award winner, will be passing the illustrious No. 7 on to wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
