It has been a while since we last spoke with the gumbo-loving, elite sophomore from Georgia Terian Williams II.  Williams could be the most versatile athlete in the class of 2022 and has already been offered a scholarship from LSU.  He plans on competing in the Elite 11 Regional ,Under Armour All American Camp and Rivals Camp Series this spring.  His awards and accomplishments consist of being selected All Region, All Gwinnett County, All State Honorable Mention, Max Preps First Team All American.  He accomplished this while earning a 3.8 GPA, 1300 SAT, 24 ACT, and participating in Beta Club and Future Business Leaders of America.  We got a chance to do a Q&A with Terian to catch up.

Tell us what has changed since our last interview in November? The biggest change is that I had to transfer to Grayson High School due to a family medical hardship.

What are you working to improve for next season? Offensively, I am working on doing a better job of reading defenses.  I’m also working on my passing mechanics, such as my follow through during delivery of the ball. Defensively, I am working on my press coverage and eye discipline. Mentally, I am studying more film this off season to help prepare for my opponents next season.

Who do you have offers from? Besides LSU, I currently have offers from Howard, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois State, Florida, Florida State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Akron, and FAU.

Coach Raymond, was the one who extended you an offer to play at LSU. What do you think about his new position with LSU? Coach Raymond’s new position will allow me to have a closer relationship with him. He was already my position coach as Defensive Back and now he’s the head recruiting coordinator.

What are your thoughts on LSU’s 2019 season? It was definitely a historic season. It is especially extraordinary when you consider the way LSU dominated the SEC, Oklahoma, and Clemson, which is not easy to do. Joe Burrow had one of the best seasons of a college quarterback. This season was one for the ages.

What has been your favorite high school memory until this point? I would say that all of the playoff games were memorable. Being in the playoffs is a direct result of all of the hard work that I, and the rest of the team, have put in over the summer and during the season.  It is all on display in a survive or go home game.  It is hard to forget working so hard for so long, and then leaving everything out on the field.

Have you set any personal goals for next season? My goals for next season is to stay healthy, help my team to win a state championship, and to be the #1 athlete in the class of 2022.

What do you hope your teammates and coaches say about you when your high school career is all said and done?   When my high school career is over I would like to be remembered first and foremost as a team player; someone who leaves everything out on the field after every game, and a leader on and off the field.
