“When you make mistakes against a really good, explosive team, they’ll make you pay,” Venables said.

“Mistakes as a play-caller, mistakes with leverage, mistakes situationally– 3rd and 19. We played great in the red zone all year and had our worst game. So that’s painful. Our guys played really hard and we played well in a lot of spots, but the explosive plays… I think we had five plays we gave up on missed tackles. And that was a season-high for explosive plays on missed tackles. They out-executed us in some other spots.”
