The 2020 way-too-early college football rankings tabbed LSU as high as No. 3 but no lower than No. 6 in the rankings we compiled a couple of weeks after the Tigers claimed the national championship on January 13.

The Tigers faced a tough slate during their title run with five wins against top-10 teams before they even made it to the final four.

The potholes in 2020 are just as plentiful with several opponents landing spots in various top 25 polls and rankings based off 2019’s finish and who returns.
