During training camp in 2015, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer brought in former Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Ellis for a week to provide an honest assessment of his defensive linemen.

After one practice, Ellis met with Zimmer and defensive line coach Andre Patterson. He was asked his opinion on then-rookie defensive end Danielle Hunter, who had been a third-round pick after having just 4½ sacks in three seasons at LSU.
