LSU has flirted for most of the past year with possibly signing the nation’s No. 1 class for the first time since 2003.

And the Tigers’ success has left coach Ed Orgeron and the staff with a delicate juggling act as the early signing period, which begins Dec. 18, fast approaches.

The class has pushed its limits throughout this fall, even reaching 25 when Alexandria defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory announced his pledge Nov. 10.
