Ed Orgeron currently leads LSU as the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings for Week 12, but the third-year head coach’s path to the Tigers has been full of adversity.
LSU got set to face Ole Miss (4-6, 2-4) for Saturday’s 7 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, where Orgeron’s head-coaching career started.
In the time since then, Orgeron’s rise has most recently featured the Tigers’ 34-9 overall record and 20-7 mark against SEC play, but his short-lived tenure with the Rebels remains fresh.
