Deputies learned that the two men were at home when an argument broke out while watching the SEC football game, and the argument eventually escalated to a physical fight.
That prompted Honey to go get a shotgun and shoot his friend in the back of the head and neck area as he walked away in the driveway.
Per the report, Honey then went back into the house to finish the game before surrendering to police. Sgt. William Bailey said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.
