
Mississippi State’s defense did an admirable job against LSU’s offense in the red zone in the first quarter on Saturday, forcing the Tigers to kick short field goals on their first three possessions.
From then on, however, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow had his way once again in a 36-13 victory, throwing four touchdowns to set a school single-season record with 29 touchdown passes — with five regular-season games to go, and maybe more after that.
