LSU freshman guard Kardell Thomas (No. 58) returned to practice on Monday for the first time since suffering an ankle injury back in fall camp that required surgery.

Head coach Ed Orgeron originally announced Thomas’ injury back in August and did not give a timetable for his return or rule him out for the season.

His attendance at Monday’s practice certainly helps his chances of possibly playing this year if he is needed.
