LSU’s win over seventh-ranked Florida on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium was the most watched college football game on ESPN in nearly two years as the telecast averaged 6.45 million viewers, the network announced.
The Tigers, behind the play of four-time SEC Offensive Player of the Week Joe Burrow and a defense that held the Gators to just one second half touchdown, won its second contest over a Top 10 opponent this year.
The 42-28 victory marked the sixth Top 10 win for LSU since the start of the 2018 season and improved its record to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in league play.
