All-American kick returner Savon Scarver drew one-on-one coverage, which made Utah State quarterback Jordan Love’s diagnosis rather easy: A back-shoulder throw.
Love took the snap, quickly looked left before moving his head right and delivering a strike at the end zone’s pylon.
A NFL-caliber QB, Love threw a solid pass. He could have pushed it a little further outside, but it looked like a perfectly catchable throw. That meant it was also in Derek Stingley’s radius, and the freshman corner went up and got it.
