Growing up in Athens, Ohio, Joe Burrow’s life had been surrounded by football.

His father, Jimmy Burrow, had played at Nebraska before diving into a life of coaching.

His older brothers, Jamie and Daniel, also played football at Nebraska, part of a golden age for Huskers football in the 1990s and into the turn of the century.
