A web of barbed connections define Texas and LSU’s showdown

The University of Texas and Louisiana State University are separated by 433 miles along I-10 East.

Saturday, those schools collide when the No. 6 Tigers travel to Austin for a matchup with the No. 9 Longhorns (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC).

The programs will clash for the first time since New Year’s Day, 2003. Peer a bit closer, and you’d see a web that’s connected Texas and LSU for years.
