A 51-14 demolition of Louisville in the season opener was a sign of things to come as Bama scored 51 points or more in five of the first six games.

The exception was a 45-23 victory at Texas A&M.

The Crimson Tide cruised to two more victories before an open week ahead of the trip to Baton Rouge. LSU held the Tide to its lowest point total up to that point but still fell, 29-0.
