LSU fans weren’t exactly freaking out last year with the absence of “elite” studs in the backfield, but it certainly took some adjusting to life without a Derrius Guice or Leonard Fournette on campus.

Good thing the 2018 season was a one-off.

And it wasn’t all that bad, as the Tigers still averaged four yards a pop and 29 scores. Nick Brossette was able to produce 1,039 rushing yards and 14 scores as the featured back. Still, LSU’s average run per carry was down from 2017’s 4.8 mark and 2016’s insane 6.1 yards per rush stat.
