A little good news on the football recruiting front to get your Friday started: LSU picked up a major commitment yesterday when four-star defensive back Major Burns gave his verbal pledge to the Tigers.

Burns (6-2, 176), a product of Madison Prep High School in Baton Rouge, chose LSU over offers from Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, and others.
