Herron initially signed as an undrafted free agent with the Patriots last May, and spent the 2018 season on the practice squads of the Seahawks and Patriots.

Herron was on New England’s practice squad when the team won Super Bowl LIII.Herron was waived by the Patriots earlier this month.

Herron made 67 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in his four-year career at LSU.
