With the start of LSU football 99 days away, today we’ll remember a very significant year in LSU football history – 1999.

A good argument could be made that this was the year that ushered in the golden age of LSU football.

But first, let’s step back a bit and look at what was going on in the preceding years to set up the game-changing events of late 1999.
