The coaching staff at Huntington High didn’t get much sleep last night after dominating North DeSoto in a spring game that finished around 10 p.m. Friday.
Led by overly energetic head coach Steve Dennis, the staff was at Independence Stadium at 6 a.m. Saturday preparing the arena for the 300 or so youngsters who showed up for the free skills camp sponsored by Caddo Parish District Attorney James Stewart.
There were plenty of current/former NFL athletes on the scene as well garnering the players’ and media’s attention, but it was Dennis’ crew who did the heavy lifting, putting the future Shreveport stars through their paces.
