As her son begins his NFL career, Lakesha Williams has a message and a reminder for him: we made it.

On Mother’s Day, the official Twitter account of the Cleveland Browns shared a video of rookie CB Greedy Williams reading a note from his mother, who survived cancer.

Lakesha’s note, which causes the former LSU defensive back to choke up, reminds him that they both beat the odds throughout their lives to get where they are.
