LSU coach Ed Orgeron told ESPN’s Peter Burns on Off Campus on SiriusXM that the Tigers would feature a spread offense that has the offensive players pumped.
“Well, you know we wanted to go to the spread,” Orgeron said. “I mean, we’re in a spread offense—we’re going with three-wide sets, four-wide sets, five-wide when empty. We’re running run-pass options, we’re running a lot of the stuff the Saints ran with the tailback coming out, out of the backfield. So it’s going to look different because it is different. And we’re glad that we have it, but we’re still going to have the power football game. We’re still going to have the physicality that we need to, that’s in our DNA at LSU.”
