Brooks was drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, and the injury bug bit early.

Brooks suffered a broken bone in his foot in the Bills final preseason game.

He returned later in the season and played well in his first career start, but would not get a chance to be a regular starter in his four years with the Bills.
