LSU has added another experienced defensive staffer, as it hired longtime college defensive Kevin Cosgrove as lead defensive analyst this week.

Cosgrove spent the past five seasons as defensive coordinator at New Mexico, leading some of the best defensive seasons for the Lobos in a decade.Cosgrove replaces Mark Criner, who left this offseason to work as special teams coordinator and linebackers coach for the Atlanta Legends in the Alliance of American Football.
