LSU has had only nine unanimous All-Americans on the gridiron in its rich history and one was sophomore safety Grant Delpit.

To earn that distinction, a player must earn first team honors from the five major organizations that select All-America teams – Walter Camp Foundation, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, AFCA, and Sporting News.
