You know, some would argue that non-playoff bowls are meaningless. Last year, I even found myself saying something about LSU’s loss to Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl being insignificant, a statement I later regretted.
The truth is, last year’s loss set the tone for a lot of negativity that lingered throughout the offseason. Tomorrow’s game, win or lose, will also have a lasting effect.
Reaching ten wins for the first time in five years in a season where LSU was predicted by some national pundits to win only five or six would be big for the program, for Coach Ed Orgeron, and for the players.
