For Ricks, a huge senior year at Mater Dei lifted him even further into the five-star discussion. He’s currently ranked as the No. 9 overall prospect in the country, but he could climb even further this offseason.

With Ricks choosing LSU, the California standout has his eyes on a big prize once he arrives and suits up in purple-and-gold.

“Best believe I will earn that (No. 7) at Louisiana State University,” Ricks said in a social media post following up his announcement.
