Edwards-Helaire, Small cleared to play in LSU’s Fiesta Bowl after shooting incident

LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and linebacker Jared Small traveled with the team and are cleared to play when the Tigers face the UCF in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, LSU coach Ed Orgeron.

Edwards-Helaire and Small were involved in a Scotlandville shooting on Dec. 22 after attempting to sell an electronic to Kobe Johnson, 18. Johnson pulled out a weapon and was then shot multiple times by one of the players.

“It’s a legal matter that’s been taken care of,” Orgeron said.
