Arguably the fiercest rivalry in the SEC that always has championship implications, Alabama-LSU was another slugfest on Saturday night in Baton Rouge, but it was the Crimson Tide who delivered an earlier-than-expected knockout blow on Tua Tagovailoa’s 44-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter.
LSU got nothing going offensively against Alabama’s dominant front seven, finshing with 13 first downs and less than 200 yards of total offense with zero points for the third time in the last eight meetings with the Crimson Tide.
