When the national media curated their lists for which college football coaches were potentially on the hot seat entering the 2018 season, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron’s name kept popping up.
Orgeron landed the head coaching job at LSU following the 2016 season, where he took over as interim head coach after the firing of Les Miles and steered the Tigers to a 6-2 finish.
It marked the same record he posted as interim head coach at Southern Cal, but he didn’t get the head coaching job on a permanent basis in Los Angeles.
